In this first session, we’ll be discussing the incredible creations of Bill Withers and Stevie
Wonder. Both heavily influenced by Ray Charles, they each brought passion and intensity to
their stunning music and lyrics, and were particularly influenced by the world outside their
window. We’ll talk about the artists and their histories and stories.
Bill Wither’s ‘Lovely Day’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘Ribbon in the Sky’ were both hits over 40 years
ago. Yet, their stunning simplicity and elegance makes them as relevant today as they were,
then.

And, now for a Different Arrangement..
Chase the Moon’s extraordinary band, including Audrey, Sammy and NYC bassist Mike Visceglia,
arranged their interpretation and arrangement of these two fantastic songs. Along with seven
instruments and five voices, including rap, plus guitars, keys, bass, percussion, drums, sax and
guitars, the result stayed true to Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder’s originals but never lost their
soul to distraction.
