Overview

Embark on an unforgettable team-building adventure with choices of single kayaks, canoes, and giant stand-up paddle boards. Depending on what’s important to achieve, we’ll incorporate a single vessel or utilize multiple. For instance, if self-discovery is needed because of potential burnout or high-stress environments, we might suggest single experiences. Or, if people have been remote or are new, we’d be more apt to suggest large-size paddleboards that hold 8-10 participants. It creates the perfect opportunity for teamwork when you’re suddenly paddling backwards or have gotten stuck on a rock. Communication quickly becomes the priority and everyone participates as opposed to more solitary experiences. There is nothing quite like gliding along a quiet creek or river, whether solo, part of a group or together on a single vessel to build trust and tune  people’s listening skills. And, empathy quickly becomes a priority as some struggle more than others. Paddling of any type is perfect for corporate groups, sports teams, or any organization looking to strengthen their bonds and have fun together.

Experience Highlights:

Welcome, and Safety Briefing:

Start the day with welcomes and group warm-up games to create connection. Our  experienced guides understand the value and importance to have the activities begin to instill more permanent knowledge. A one-off experience is just that and rarely carries forward.

Receive a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring everyone is comfortable and confident with the equipment and water safety protocols.

Equipment Orientation:

Get familiar with kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards.

Learn basic paddling techniques and tips from our expert instructors.

Team Building Activities:

Scenic Paddling Tour:

Enjoy a guided tour through picturesque waterways, appreciating the beauty of nature while engaging in relaxed conversations.

Take breaks at scenic spots for group discussions and reflection.

Paddle Relay Races: 

Compete in friendly relay races, encouraging team spirit and collaboration.

Treasure Hunt:

Navigate through a series of checkpoints using clues, promoting problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Raft Building Challenge:

Work together to build a makeshift raft, testing creativity and resourcefulness.

(Optional) Lunch and Relaxation:

Prepared by our guides, take a break for a delicious picnic lunch by the water, with time to relax and socialize. We carry all of our needed food, drinks and medical supplies.

Optional relaxation sessions are available, such as guided meditation or yoga on paddle boards. Please notify us in advance.

Group Challenges:

Capsize Drills:

Practice capsize drills in a controlled environment, building trust and ensuring everyone knows how to assist each other.

Obstacle Course:

Navigate through a water obstacle course, emphasizing teamwork and communication.

Reflection and Debrief:

Gather for group discussion, and reflect on takeaways, memories and skills developed.
