Embark on an epic journey inspired by Sir Ernest Shackleton’s legendary Endurance expedition in our Adventure Simulator Team Building Experience. This immersive and challenging activity is designed to enhance teamwork, resilience, and leadership as your group navigates through a series of simulated scenarios based on the historic Antarctic expedition. Ideal for corporate groups, sports teams, or any organization looking to strengthen their bonds, this experience combines the thrill of adventure with valuable team-building exercises.

Experience Highlights:

Welcome, and Safety Briefing:

Begin the day with a discussion about the definitions of grit and resiliency and why they matter to us in our personal and professional lives. Have each person tell a story about their own personal experience.

Participate in a comprehensive briefing on Shackleton’s Endurance expedition, including historical context and key lessons in leadership and perseverance.

Setting the Scene:

Enter a specially designed simulation environment that recreates the harsh conditions of the Antarctic.

Engage in role-playing, with participants assigned roles such as Captain, Navigator, Engineer, and Medic, to mirror the structure of Shackleton’s crew.

Survival and Problem-Solving Challenges:

Icebreaking Exercise:

Work together to navigate through simulated ice flows, emphasizing coordination and strategic planning.

Shelter Building:

Construct a makeshift shelter using provided materials, testing creativity and resourcefulness.

Resource Management:

Manage limited supplies and make critical decisions on rationing food, fuel, and other essentials.

Communication and Leadership Drills:

Crisis Scenarios:

Face unexpected challenges such as simulated storms or equipment failures, requiring quick thinking and effective communication.

Leadership Rotation:

Rotate leadership roles within the team, giving everyone the opportunity to lead under pressure and support their teammates.

Team Strategy Sessions:

Engage in strategy sessions to plan the next steps of the expedition, emphasizing collaborative decision-making and problem-solving. Discuss the critical skills of each team to know what’s possible relative to the challenges ahead.

Reflect on Shackleton’s leadership principles and how they can be applied to overcome the challenges faced during the simulation.

Scenic Breaks and Reflection:

Take breaks to reflect on the experiences, share insights, and discuss the historical significance of Shackleton’s journey.

Enjoy team discussions in a setting designed to resemble the Antarctic landscape.

Final Group Challenge: (Optional)

Conclude the simulation with a dramatic rescue scenario, requiring the entire team to work together to achieve success.

Overcome a series of physical and mental obstacles to simulate the final leg of Shackleton’s journey to safety.

Reflection and Discussion:

Incorporate all of the lessons learned, challenges encountered, people skills now known and utilized to conquer the difficult tasks put in the way of each team.

Discuss how the experiences and skills gained during the simulation can be applied in the workplace or daily life.

Payments are refundable if cancellation is received more than 30 days prior to the reservation date. Reservations proceed regardless of weather conditions. We reserve to right to cancel in the event of unsafe conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel your reservation, your payment will be refunded or applied to a future date that is mutually acceptable.
